Last week, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada announced new resources to help businesses manage data breaches.
In the event of data breaches, companies are indeed subject to different obligations and must, in some cases, report such breaches to the competent authorities.
The tools (texts and videos) put in place by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner are designed to make businesses aware of the protection of the personal information they hold, and to prepare them in the event of a data breach.
