Biography

Geneviève Dubuc is specialized in commercial law and intellectual property. She has over 25 years of experience as a legal advisor to high-tech companies.

Her experience has allowed her to develop skills in corporate law and in the drawing, revision and negotiation of commercial agreements such as licensing and distribution, service, sales and confidentiality agreements. Incidentally, she has been invited to present at conferences on these topics as a guest speaker before corporate counsels.

As a corporate secretary for a public company, Geneviève was called upon to assist the board of directors in its internal management, in the development their rules of governance and in the preparation of the required regulation documentation.

She also acted as secretary for the boards of directors for non-profit organizations.


Business experience

Geneviève acted as Senior Manager, Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property at Theratechnologies Inc., a Québec biotechnology company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. She also worked as Senior Legal Adviser and Assistant Secretary for Aventis Pharma, a major international pharmaceutical company.

At Delegatus, she offers on demand in-house services to medium-sized businesses that that benefit from her experience as an experienced legal advisor. She also advises clients on an ad hoc basis, in sectors such as information technologies, high tech and biotechnology, especially regarding intellectual property.

Geneviève worked for 5 years at Fasken Martineau (then Martineau Walker), in the corporate law group.
