Antoine Martin is a seasoned lawyer with advanced expertise in construction and infrastructure law. He has been involved in numerous public infrastructure projects, especially projects delivered through design-build, design-build-finance and public-private partnership models, and more recently, projects implementing new collaborative approaches. His extensive experience and skills as both legal counsel and business advisor make him a trusted partner for his clients, supporting them from the earliest stages of a project through to its completion.
Antoine also has significant experience in business law. Having worked both in-house and in private practice, he combines legal expertise with strong business acumen to provide legal services tailored to a wide range of client needs. These include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts for various commercial operations, implementing business mergers and acquisitions, securing private equity or debt financing, corporate restructuring, shareholder agreements, due diligence reviews, and more.
Antoine Martin previously served as Legal Counsel at the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI). In this role, he contributed to both the development and execution of major infrastructure projects undertaken by key institutions in Québec, including the Montréal university hospitals (CHUM, MUHC, and CHU Sainte-Justine), the AMT (now EXO), and Place Bell. He was primarily responsible for managing the contractor selection process for infrastructure projects carried out by government ministries and public bodies — from the request for qualifications through to financial close — overseeing contract drafting, negotiation and execution as well as supporting these entities throughout the project delivery phase.
At Quad Graphics (formerly Quebecor World, then Worldcolor), Antoine represented the company in drafting and negotiating printing contracts with its largest U.S. clients, as well as complex agreements governing the global supply of ink and printing plates. He also led two failed attempts and the eventual successful sale of the company’s European operations and played a key role in Quebecor World’s court-supervised restructuring.
Earlier in his career, Antoine served as Legal Counsel at Axcan Pharma, where he was involved in drafting and negotiating contracts across various business areas, including raw material procurement, subcontract manufacturing and clinical research services. He also held the position of Senior Officer for Charities at the Canada Revenue Agency.

As a sole practitioner specializing in public infrastructure projects, he provided legal and operational support to the CHUM during Phase 2 of its construction and the early operational phase of Phase 1 under a public-private partnership. He also advised the CRCHUM on various matters related to the operational phase of its public-private partnership agreement.
At Sarrazin Plourde, Antoine acted as legal counsel for numerous clients in a wide range of commercial transactions. Among the major infrastructure projects he led with his legal team was the support provided to the Parc olympique in selecting the contractor responsible for the design, construction, and partial maintenance of the Olympic Stadium’s technical ring and roof. His team played a key role in the tendering process, risk analysis, contract drafting, negotiation, and finalization. His services also included training stakeholders from various departments of the Parc olympique on the contract’s terms and conditions, as well as providing them ongoing legal and operational support throughout the project’s execution.
