Martin Thiboutot is a seasoned lawyer specializing in environmental law, municipal law, and general commercial law. For over 10 years, Martin has provided advice on compliance and regulation, notably regarding natural resource management, environmental permit regimes, environmental declarations, extended producer responsibility, and the management of contaminated land and protected areas, such as wetlands. He also has significant experience in renewable energy and transmission projects, and has participated in drafting and negotiating agreements for various construction and infrastructure projects, as well as offering advice on environmental litigation.
With his strong communication skills, Martin also serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Université Laval and frequently presents at various events and webinars.
Over the course of his twelve years of practice, Martin has served as in-house legal counsel for approximately two years, first at a Canadian forestry company and then at an environmental engineering firm. During this time, he handled a diverse commercial practice, including mandates in procurement, mergers and acquisitions, and matters related to environmental and energy law.
