Lawyer and manager Dominique Bellemare has over 35 years of experience in international law, commercial law, estate law and corporate governance. He has a varied clientele in the private and public sectors, both Canadian and international.
With his in-depth knowledge of the business world, he assists his clients with all aspects of organizational development, including optimizing business processes and ensuring compliance with administrative policies and other compliance rules. He is also involved in analyzing requests and developing strategic intervention plans, providing legal, logistical and operational support to managers and stakeholders.
Mr. Bellemare has extensive knowledge of the Canadian legal system, having been a member of the Canada Review Tribunal as an administrative judge. He was also administrative judge and Vice-Chairman of the Employment Insurance Section of the Social Security Tribunal of Canada, General Division.
With his strong communication skills, analytical mind and ability to listen, he also offers human resources management support, training and coaching services. Mr. Bellemare is a team player with mobilizing leadership skills, capable of effectively coaching, motivating and stimulating a team.
Mr. Bellemare held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Social Security Tribunal of Canada for the Employment Insurance Section of the General Division. In this capacity, he played a major role in optimizing business processes related to the implementation of a new administrative tribunal.
Previously, he spent more than 15 years as Vice-President of Legal and International Affairs for Crédit Mutuel’s Montreal branch. He managed all legal, commercial and international affairs for the property management company.
Prior to joining Delegatus, Mr. Bellemare worked as an independent consultant in international law, in addition to serving as a municipal councillor for the City of Beauharnois, a role he still holds today.
At the start of his career, Mr. Bellemare worked as managing partner of Bloomfield & Avocats, advising an international clientele.
