Laurence Gibeault-Geadah has over 15 years’ experience in real estate, contract and commercial law. A seasoned lawyer, she has represented well-known landlords and commercial tenants across Canada for shopping centers, offices, industrial and mixed-use properties. She has worked with major real estate firms for over 10 years, including Allied Properties REIT, Ivanhoe Cambridge and Newmark Knight Frank Devencore (now Avison Young).
Laurence has extensive experience in contract law, real estate law and commercial leasing, including the negotiation and drafting of various agreements relating to commercial leases, the acquisition and sale of real estate and development projects, as well as the prevention and management of litigation. Her analytical approach and experience of strategic collaboration with management and various departments make her a key player in the most complex real estate issues.
Prior to joining Delegatus, Laurence was General manager of lease documentation in legal affairs at Allied Properties REIT, where she managed and supervised the Montreal in-house legal team, reviewing and approving all leases for the Eastern Canada region and advising various departments of the company on various legal matters.
Laurence was also legal counsel at Ivanhoe Cambridge, where her practice focused primarily on real estate and contract law, as well as the management and prevention of commercial litigation, advising management and numerous departments within the company. Previously, she held the position of Head of legal services at NKF Devencore, adding real estate brokerage law to her real estate and commercial litigation practice.
Laurence was legal counsel at Audet Williams Inc. for over 5 years, practicing in commercial litigation and real estate law.
