Biography
Marc is a seasoned lawyer with over 35 years’ experience in civil and professional liability as well as
disciplinary law.
During his years of practice, Marc has represented professionals before all civil and administrative courts, including as lead counsel before the Superior Court of Quebec, the Quebec Court of Appeal and the
Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before the disciplinary councils of professional orders and the
Tribunal des professions.
Experience in private practice
Marc worked in a large Montreal firm, which became pan-Canadian in the 90s, for more than 36 years.
Representative work
Acting as the lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada in a case which is now setting precedent, and which concerns the immunity from civil liability of health professionals in the context of care provided to a victim of an automobile accident: Godbout c. Pagé (2017) 1 RCS 283
