Marie-Pier Caza

Marie-Pier practices within our litigation group. Her areas of expertise cover all aspects of litigation, including providing legal advice, developing strategies, drafting procedures and representing clients before Quebec courts.

She represents and advises clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including construction, shareholders, product liability and contractual disputes.

As part of her practice, Marie-Pier regularly uses private dispute resolution methods.

Marie-Pier started her legal career within a major business law firm in Montreal.

Prior to her practice, she had the opportunity to deepen her legal knowledge through a summer internship with a ultinational aerospace company and an internship with the judiciary. She also completed a legal internship with Éducaloi.

• Representing an entertainment and audio-visual entrepreneur in a shareholder/commercial dispute.
• Acting on behalf of a commercial and industrial developer in connection with an action for damages brought as a result of a municipality’s failure to provide information in connection with a sale.
• Participating in the defence of a Quebec company operating in the audio-visual entertainment industry in an arbitration to determine the terms and conditions for the renewal of a commercial lease.
• Participating in the defence of a real estate developer and builder before the Quebec court of appeal in a property law dispute.
• Advising a foreign company operating in the fields of construction and transportation engineering in connection with obtaining temporary licences to practice engineering.
• Advising contractors working in the construction field in applications for contractor licences.
• Participating in the negotiation of a transaction to terminate the association between two shareholders of a company involved in real estate development.
• Advising a Canadian multinational company operating in the aeronautics sector on the implementation of an intellectual property policy.
