Before becoming an entrepreneur at Delegatus, Stéphanie completed a secondment within the legal department of a major Canadian railway company, serving as a partner lawyer with the Collective. During this mandate, she provided legal support on several sensitive matters, including litigation involving human rights issues.
Previously in the banking sector, Stéphanie quickly rose through the ranks from legal counsel to Assistant Vice President, Labour Relations and Human Resources. This upward trajectory, within a demanding and highly regulated environment, gave her a 360° understanding of business and sharpened her strategic acumen.
She led the development of policies, training programs, and structural initiatives related to employment, labour relations, and human resources. She also managed complex labour law disputes and conducted sensitive investigations, notably in cases of harassment and fraud. These mandates brought her to work closely with senior leadership and various working groups, contributing to the rollout of strategic projects and the alignment of the company’s business plan.

There, she developed a diverse legal expertise, notably in labour and employment law, as well as in municipal, administrative, and family law. This experience allowed her to build strong instincts for managing complex files and deepened her understanding of organizational issues. In her role, she drafted legal proceedings, represented clients in court, conducted extensive legal research, and prepared legal opinions and recommendations.
